When I feel sorry for myself (it happens to us all), I lead by the 'what' and not the 'why'.
Getting stuck on the 'why' keeps us trapped as victims. 'Why did this happen to me?' There is no action or solution when you're in a victim state.
The solution comes with the 'what'. 'What am I going to do about it?' This is the only thing that gets action flowing and you out of the mire.
The next time you feel stuck or downbeat, try focusing on the 'what'.
