Being anxious burns a lot of energy, and when you add sleep deprivation to the equation, the day has just become 10 times harder.
High anxiety depends on a fragile state of mind, and sleep deprivation is all it needs to thrive.
Sleep deprivation = More Anxiety = Sleep deprivation = More Anxiety
This cycle can only be broken by getting the amount of sleep you need.
If you’re feeling anxious today and you consistently don’t get enough sleep, go to bed earlier than usual tonight. Turn the TV off, put the book down, and draw the curtains.
Aim to get a solid 7-9 hours sleep, and you will inevitably feel better tomorrow.
Keep doing it, and think about how you will feel in a month.
