It's only fair that we get judged on what we have done in the past. What else could we be judged on?
What isn't fair is when people struggle to see past the old you – the person you hardly represent today.
'The old you' is fixed within their mindset, no matter what you say or do.
You have worked too hard to become the person you are today to be pigeonholed by someone who is closed-minded. Playing that old role to suit their expectations is too much of a setback, especially if you're doing it often.
An environment where your true self can flourish is the place to be.
